2011 Annual Giving Campaign Living Purposefully, Gratefully, and Generously
21
November will be a busy day. We will be celebrating the last Sunday in the
church year, and sharing lunch and making advent wreaths after the 10AM
service. More importantly, from my perspective of course
J, we will be dedicating our pledges of
stewardship and financial support of St. Paul’s for 2011. With Thanksgiving
occurring the following Thursday, and Advent beginning the following Sunday,
it seems like an appropriate time to acknowledge our blessings, and establish
our resolutions and thank-offerings for the new year.
A
collection basket will be located at the baptismal fount this Sunday. Please
place your folded, stapled, or taped pledge form in the basket when you arrive
at church. If you have not received a pledge form, you may print one off of
our website
or pick one up at church on Sunday. (If you are unable to attend
church this Sunday, please return your completed pledge form to the church
office as soon as possible. )
No
group can be fully functional without the ongoing involvement and support of
each member. Therefore, I cannot emphasize enough how important your
contribution is towards reaching our 2011 campaign goal of $210,000. Your
monetary pledge ensures that we, as a congregation, can meet our financial
obligations and continue to reach out and share God’s love with our
neighbors. Your active participation allows us to accomplish our
mission. Your presence makes our community whole.
Please
make a special effort to join in our celebratory worship this Sunday. Let us
gather to formally recognize and proclaim our role as stewards of God, not
only as individuals, but also corporately as a congregation. Let us further
God’s work in the world through the dedication of the time, the talents and
the resources that have been given to us.
Thank
you in advance for helping make this a successful campaign!
